Art 2 is a developmental study of American art history though slide ID's and essay writing. Each quarter focuses on a particular area of production: 1st Quarter Design and printmaking, 2nd Quarter Drawing and painting, 3rd Quarter Ceramics and photgraphy, 4th Quarter skectchbook/ series work/ and film.

Paper or Plastic by Nick Creson

Another result of the study of the idea of "plastic." Won Best of Show in the FCLAE.


Meredith Oliver 10th Grade

This collage/drawing began with a classroom discussion on concepts and the importance of an idea. The class chose a word to represent with their artworks: PLASTIC. This piece combines photography with drawing to create the idea of plasticity. It won 3rd place in the Friends of the Library Art Exhibit/Contest in Cordova, TN out of 22 entries.


Lyman Anderson

Honorable Mention @ WTRSAE, School Chair, is Lyman's painting of a fauvists oil expression. The West Tennessee Regional Scholastic Art Exhibition was hung by the Humbolt Museum curator Bill Hickerson. Lyman won out of 100 or so entries.

Oil painting of a classmate from life. Katie is a gifted painter!!! This hangs in the Museum in Humbolt TN in the WTRSAE
