The weather in Memphis today takes me back to Italy. Our snow is gone, the sun is shining, and the sky is as blue as the Mediterranean Sea! When I close my eyes I can still hear "Buongiorno" echoing across a breezy cobblestoned piazza. It is difficult to believe it has already been two weeks since our return.
Mr. Tackett, with the assistance of Mrs. Hamner and Mrs. Neal, took fifteen students and ten adults to The Boot country this spring break. What great teachers we have! We explored from the Amalfi Coast at the ankle all the way up the shin to Rome, led by our ebullient and hilarious WorldStrides tour guide, Christiana.
If you have not been to Italy, I strongly recommend adding it to your bucket list. The people are enchanting, the food is delizioso, and the scenery... well, words cannot adequately describe it, so I'll leave you with a few of my favorite pics instead.
